What is Fashion

Fashion initially captured my heart, my attention, through the words it spoke. Messages conveyed took hold of my mind. Its interpretation varying from city to city, culture to culture, individual to individual. It is that individuality that each fashion house, each fashion label, each fashion creator possessed that enveloped me. A place so free and open and loose and creative and wild. Letting go in the moment and loosing myself to geometric shapes and fluid fabrics. Dark and heavy and depressed material commanded a life of its own. Material which moved with ease conveyed the unyielding attitude that was ingrained in the wearers body; yearning to be let loose, to be free, to have a voice that beakoned all to listen, to pay attention, to think, to want, to BE. The freedom of all worlds, all universes, all souls find their way into fashion. Fashion allows them to be them. An art form constructed from the soul, from depths so deep one dare not dive, from spirits rebellious of authority. Unrelenting spirits captured in a dimension that has them chained yet loose, has them consumed yet absent. I bathe myself in all its glory; in all its magnificence.
