River Island AW 2012

One of my favorite places to shop has wowed me again. Not only was I excited to hear recently that River Island has teamed up with singer Rihanna for a line set to be released in 2013, but I am also overflowing with excitement by their AW 2012 preview on the River Island website. Baroque and romance was evident in lady-like sheer lace dresses, drama filled detail caressing jackets, and full textured skirts. Techno Mongolian fur, velvet trousers, patterned dresses, knits, and paisley prints also made unforgettable appearances throughout the collection. It easily conveys an honest fashion approach; one that doesn't appear to be trying too hard yet embraces multiple sides, personalities, of a person. Goth-futuristic-grunge could be used as an accurate description of the RI AW 2012 collection. The random splashes of color throughout the clothing removed any depression dark clothing may convey, and instead, blessed the collection with light and with feeling.
